WUT Days at Keio University

On April 25–30, 2025, the Center for International Cooperation organized the Warsaw University of Technology Days at Keio University in Tokyo as part of the NAWA project “Strengthening Polish-Japanese cooperation in the field of higher education and science by organizing the Warsaw University of Technology Days at Keio University in Tokyo”. The project is part of the NAWA program “International Scientific Event at the World Exhibition Expo 2025 in Osaka, Kansai”. The application to NAWA was prepared by the Center for International Cooperation.

Representatives of WUT conducted two-day workshops on robotics and artificial intelligence - the main themes of the World Exhibition EXPO 2025 in Osaka - and a series of meetings promoting the scientific, educational and cultural offer of our university. Professors of the Warsaw University of Technology presented our university's research achievements in the field of supporting human activities using modern technologies and the effects of scientific and educational cooperation with Japanese universities, including the JEMARO program (Japan-Europe Master on Advanced Robotics). The workshops were prepared and conducted by: prof. dr hab. inż. Teresa Zielińska from the Faculty of Power and Aeronautical Engineering and prof. dr hab. inż. Włodzimierz Kasprzak from the Faculty of Electronics and Information Technology. Invited representatives of Japanese universities took part in the meetings with Grzegorz Robak, Director of the Center for International Cooperation: Shizuoka University, Sophia University, Hosei University. The meetings were aimed at developing existing cooperation in new areas. Representatives of the Warsaw University of Technology also met with the president of the Poland-Japan Foundation, Mr. Radosław Tyszkiewicz. The conversation concerned possible joint activities. One of the elements of the program was a visit to the World Exhibition EXPO 2025 in Osaka.

The event aimed to strengthen scientific and didactic cooperation between the Warsaw University of Technology and Japanese universities, exchange experiences in the field of research on robotics and artificial intelligence, and increase the recognition of WUT in Japan. An important element of promotion was culture: performances by the Warsaw University of Technology Song and Dance Ensemble promoted student culture and folklore from various regions of Poland.

The International Cooperation Center prepared special materials promoting the event: a website: https://www.wut.cwm.pw.edu.pl, leaflets about the Warsaw University of Technology in Japanese and English, posters with information about the performances of the Warsaw University of Technology Song and Dance Ensemble, and gadgets.
